 2020 ANNUAL REPORT

We’ve published our 2020 Annual Report. We share a snapshot of the results of last year’s efforts, challenges we encountered along the way, and some goals we’ve set for ourselves in the coming year and beyond.

Ultimately, what we all care about is being that go-to place for responsive quality legal work that will eliminate the fears and barriers that prevent our clients from leading happy, secure lives.

DVAI FELLOWSHIP TRANSITION

Now into our fourth year, LevittQuinn partners with the Southwestern Law School Alumni Association on the Domestic Violence Advocacy Initiative. The DVAI Fellowship provides recent Southwestern graduates with the opportunity to gain valuable legal training and experience at LevittQuinn. Working alongside our attorneys, the Fellow provides the full range of family law help, from assessment and advice to direct representation in courthouses throughout the LASC system, to underrepresented and underserved survivors of domestic abuse.
We say goodbye to Fellow Nancy Chen, who joined us last year during the pandemic
“Thanks to the DVAI fellowship, I have gained hands-on experience helping low to moderate income families with family law issues. I have learned to become a more compassionate individual and the type of representative that my clients would appreciate.”
Last month we welcomed new Fellow, Johanna Oakley, who will be with us for the coming year.
“I just completed month two of my twelve-month DVAI fellowship at LevittQuinn. What a rich and rewarding learning experience it’s been so far! The staff are amazingly skilled and knowledgeable, and they have patience for days. LQ invests heavily in training, and I feel so fortunate to be on the receiving end of that. After a year here, I’ll feel prepared to tackle just about any challenge.”
LQ ED Ana Storey and Legal Services Director Lucia Reyes joined SWAA Board Past President Judge Deborah Brazil and Board Member Rachel Gezerseh in a Zoom webinar for graduating Southwestern students about fellowship details, including an overview of the work and how to apply.
