Steven A. Mindel, CFLS, Feinberg Mindel Brandt & Klein LLP

Steven A. Mindel is the Managing Partner at Feinberg, Mindel, Brandt & Klein, LLP (FMBK), a 20 attorney law firm in West Los Angeles that practices Family Law, Civil Litigation and Probate. Steve and his partners grew the firm from their solo practices to one of the largest family law firms in the state.

Growing up, Steve’s parents were active volunteers in their small Fresno community, volunteering with organizations including the Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce and local synagogue. Tzedakah has always been an important value to Steve’s family growing up and continues to be a strong value to his wife, Nancy, and sons, Sam and Jake.

Following that same commitment, after graduating law school, Steve started to volunteer in the Family Law Department at the Los Angeles Free Clinic while working full-time in the corporate and real estate department at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, LLP. In 1991, Steve became a member of the Legal Advisory Board of the Los Angeles Free Clinic devoting hours to giving legal services to those without the financial means to afford an attorney. It was through this volunteerism that Steve found his career as a Family Law Attorney.

Along with his many hours of volunteering in the legal community through non-profits such as Levitt & Quinn, The Free Clinic and Harriett Buhai, Steve also focuses his volunteer efforts at his temple, University Synagogue. He previously served as President of the Board of Trustees and continues to serve on the Budget Committee.

Steve previously served on the California State Bar FLEXCOM and in 2012 joined the Los Angeles County Bar Association Executive Committee and has been appointed to many positions. Most recently, Steve serves as the Chair of the Membership Outreach Committee and the Chair of the Liaison for E-Filing Committee.

To our 2016 honorees, sponsors, supporters and volunteers:

Thank you for Standing for Justice with Levitt & Quinn last year.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to making our 35th Annual Stand for Justice Gala on September 17 the best attended and highest grossing gala in our history! Our attendees, who came from all over California to celebrate the achievements of honorees Judge Mark Juhas and Mark Minyard, were more generous than ever. And, many of our gala guests stayed after the main event ended, joining new arrivals at the first-ever Gala After Party, enjoying “Cocktails for a Cause” on the moonlit patio. Event photos are  available on our Facebook page.

Thank you again for supporting Levitt & Quinn. Your support changes lives.
